Binding for expectant mothers according to FZTB© – good support for pregnant mothers

Workshop description:Your growing belly as well strain on your back, abdomen, and pelvic floor can cause considerable discomfort towards the end of pregnancy. These unpleasant side effects of pregnancy can be counteracted by FZTB© binding for expectant mothers. Binding using a special sling relieves your abdomen; your abdominal and back muscles get much-needed support, which in turn relieves your pelvic floor.

Together we will discover the 6 different binding methods, each of which has a different effect. Each expectant mother is then able to choose the binding method that best suits her. A detailed handout is covered by the course fee. Some mothers need an extra-long sling. We can lend you one for the duration of the course and after if need be.

Another small but nice plus: When your baby is born, the sling already smells like mom and mom is already used to handling it.

The workshop is especially suitable for expectant mothers with::

  • Large or heavy belly (multiples)
  • Back pain in the upper, middle, and/or lower back.
  • Severe discomfort due to loosening of the symphysis and/or the sacroiliac joint
  • A highly mobile pelvis
  • An unstable pelvic floor
  • Rectus diastasis after previous pregnancy

Baby wearing workshops

Workshop description:

Baby wearing is becoming more popular than ever – carrying your baby close to your body gives your child the closeness and security it needs to thrive. Plus, it frees up your hands and is a reliable way of calming your child down.

The beginners course (front wearing) is for parents who have little to no experience with the sling and want to carry their little baby (approx. 0–4 months old) on their belly. This course is also suitable for expectant mothers.
You are welcome to bring a sling if you already own one. We also give advice on how to choose and purchase a sling and will have different models for you to try out.

In the advanced course (back wearing), course participants learn to carry their baby on their hip and back. Course participants must already be familiar with baby wearing; this course is suitable for babies who can already hold their up heads on their own.

Dunstan Baby Language workshop – from birth to about 4 months

Workshop description (for the in-person workshop):

All newborn babies use five specific sounds from birth to signal their basic needs: “I’m hungry, I’m sleepy, I’m experiencing discomfort, I have lower gas, I need to be burped!”
These sound reflexes or “words” are based on your baby’s physical reflexes and are a universal language of all newborns worldwide, regardless of native language, nationality, or culture.
In the Dunstan Baby Language workshop, parents will learn to recognize these sound reflexes. This allows parents to respond more specifically to their baby’s needs and breastfeed effectively, meaning your baby is less stressed, cries less, and gets better sleep.
