The Campusbüro Uni mit Kind welcomes families as their central contact point for everything to do with Dresden’s universities.

A cooperation between Studentenwerk Dresden and the Technische Universität Dresden, the Campusbüro Uni mit Kind has offered a comprehensive range of services for students at Dresden’s universities and employees of the Technische Universität Dresden since 2007.

Personal counseling, a diverse program of meet-ups and courses, and extensive services – everything your family needs you’ll find here, under one roof. Also stop by during opening hours to use our breastfeeding and baby feeding facilities, changing tables, and a large playroom for our youngest academics to play and romp around in.

Our programs include:

Counseling and information related to these topics (more information) 

• Maternity and parental leave
• Financing (e.g. parental allowance, children’s allowance, ALG II, child support)
• Managing your studies as a parent
• Childcare in Dresden
• Pregnancy and birthing
• Reconciling an academic career and family responsibilities
• Support with applications and appeals to public authorities
• Application and acceptance of applications for the expectant mothers’ aid program

We offer personal and video-based counseling by appointment. You can reach us during our opening hours to discuss your questions or make an appointment.

We are meeting up in person again! But we can also offer some of our programs online as an alternative should it become necessary.

• Thursday, 9:30 AM to 11 AM – Baby meet-up for parents with babies aged 0–18 months
  Please register to take part. We will send you more information once you’ve registered.
• Friday, April 14, 2023, 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM – Expectant mothers’ meet-up
  Please register to take part. We will send you more information once you’ve registered.
• Wednesday, February 22, 2023, from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM (once a month) – Single parent meet-up
  If you are interested in taking part, please feel free to contact us. We will add you as a participant and inform you about the next meet-up.

Courses (information and registration) 

• Every Monday from 10 AM to 11:30 AM – Online yoga for expectant mothers (open course; you can join at any time)
  Please contact the course instructor as early as possible. She will let you know what steps to take.

  If you are in need of items/clothing for your baby or child, feel free to contact us at any time (even when the event is not taking place). We have a pool of donated items that you are welcome to go through.

• Comfortable breastfeeding or quiet room, kitchenette with bottle warmer
• Use of the premises as a workroom for meetings
• Borrow our mobile box of playthings
