Expectant mothers’ café

All expectant mothers are warmly invited to help pass the time waiting for their baby
to arrive by talking about topics related to pregnancy, birth, or the postnatal period in sociable company over some coffee and snacks.

If you are interested, please sign up. Attendance is free of charge. We will provide fruit, cookies, and drinks. You can bring a small breakfast along if you wish.

Baby meet-up for babies aged 0–18 months

Our baby meet-up is an open offer for parents and their babies. At the baby meet-up you can get to know other new parents and talk about topics current in your life. If needed, an experienced breastfeeding and baby wearing counselor can provide helpful information.

(Inter)national parents - let's meet and talk

Every last Wednesday of the month we invite (inter)national families with or without children to our meeting of students and employees of all universities in Dresden. Here you have the opportunity to get to know each other and to talk to each other about all topics concerning studies and everyday life with a family.

A social counselor and a staff member of the Campus Office Uni mit Kind will be there for you from 2 to 4 PM.

The offer is free of charge, we prepare some snacks. There is a drinks machine, for which you would need to bring some change. We are looking forward to meeting you and we speak German and English. Single parents’ meet-up

Topical talks, discussions, games, celebrations...
Raising children alone while studying or working can pose unique challenges in everyday life. We invite single mothers and fathers and their children to visit our single parents’ meet-up. Students at all universities in Dresden and TU Dresden employees can participate. Childcare is provided during the event.
In addition to getting to know one another, discussions focus on the daily challenges of single-parent life. The meet-up ends with a shared dinner.

Family Café in the Miniforscher Day Care Center

A family café is held every two weeks at the Miniforscher daycare center. In a cozy atmosphere, families have the opportunity to get to know each other and exchange ideas. The offer is open to interested families inside and outside the Miniforscher Day Care and also offers the opportunity to get to know (better) the care world of the Miniforscher. Drinks and snacks will be provided. A pedagogical specialist will accompany the family café and be available to answer questions. Please bring socks for warm little and big feet.

It is not necessary to register in advance. You can simply drop by for the Family Café and are also welcome to use the open consultation hours of the campus office, which take place at the same time as the Family Café in the Miniforscher daycare center.
