Open meet-ups

Our open meet-ups take place regularly; usually you can attend without prior registration.

To help us plan the right amount of food for breakfast or dinner events, we kindly ask you to register in advance for the expectant mothers’ breakfast and the single parents’ meet-up.

Expectant mothers’ breakfast

All expectant mothers are cordially invited to help pass the time waiting for their baby to arrive by talking about topics related to pregnancy, birth, or the postnatal period in sociable company over breakfast.
If you are interested, please sign up. Attendance is free of charge.

Please note: Due to COVID-related restrictions, the expectant mothers’ breakfast will be held as an expectant mothers’ meet-up until further notice. We will provide fruit, vegetables, and drinks as a snack. You can bring a small breakfast along if you wish.

Babytreff Baby meet-up For babies aged 0–18 months

Our baby meet-up is an open offer for parents and their babies. At the baby meet-up, you can get to know other new parents and talk about topics current in your life. If needed, an experienced breastfeeding and baby wearing counselor can provide helpful information.

Parent–child meet-up for children aged 12 months and older

The parent–child meeting is not currently taking place. If you are interested, please register.
We will add you to the registration list and inform you about the next date. Attendance is free of charge.

Our parent–child group is an opportunity for parents with children aged 3 and below to meet up, network, and exchange ideas. There are handicrafts and games for the children. When the weather is nice, we go to the CampusKISTE playground next to the Campusbüro.

Single parents’ meet-up

Topical talks, discussions, games, celebrations...
Raising children alone while studying or working can pose unique challenges in everyday life. We invite single mothers and fathers and their children to visit our single parents’ meet-up. Students at all universities in Dresden and TU Dresden employees can participate. Childcare is provided during the event.
In addition to getting to know one another, discussions focus on the daily challenges of single-parent life. The meet-up ends with a shared dinner (dinners are currently not possible).

Participants can…

  • Get to know other single-parent families
  • Pause and refuel
  • Receive current information
  • Talk about what concerns and moves you
  • Experience relief
  • And have fun together

Coffee klatsch

Please note: Due to COVID-related restrictions, our coffee klatsch event is currently not taking place, as it is designed to be an open meet-up without advance registration.

Our coffee klatsch event is intended for student families and university staff with children. The event provides a relaxed atmosphere for play, romping about, and chatting. When the weather is nice, we go out to the playground.

Families are invited who,

  • Would like to meet other young families in a relaxed atmosphere,
  • Are looking for alternatives in poor weather,
  • Can’t (or can no longer) take advantage of our morning events,
  • Are seeking contact with like-minded people
  • Don’t not want to lose existing contacts in spite of having a daycare place

Dates: Tuesdays, from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM
